Brenden gets leg pains(growing pains) one thing that helps him is a warm oil massage. It's always his calf muscles that hurt. So I do that for him. Just an idea. Plus after I do that I put a warm rice bag on his legs for a bit. If it's really bad we do the Motrin but I try to stir clear of that if I can.

the kiddos for the day! he has to work tomorrow, but it is okay.....the money will be nice. but he in deed has Wednesday off of work.
we went to a neighbors house for a party, and I had gotten the kids plates together and brought them down for them. I then went back up to get mine and Tommy's plates and when I came down, I opened the door and all I remember is opening the door and then ending up on the ground. I got a nice scraped knee and a nice bruise that goes around the lower part of my knee and a lump of some sort in the bruise. Kate~ He actually was sitting on my lap earlier today and I asked him if he wanted a race car cake for his birthday and he said "no mom mom, I want Grave Digger cake." I said "you want another Grave Digger cake that Aunt Katy makes?" and he told me yes. So, do you have another Grave Digger in you? Thanks ladies for those suggestions! I will have to try that with him and see if that helps him. He keeps telling me that it is his knees that are bothering him when he says they hurt. |

I figured it was time for an update of sorts......
Brandon is now 5.5 years old, and is growing up too fast for me! On Sweetest Day, we all sat around and looked at pictures from when they were all younger. Logan is now 4 years old, with the attitude of a teenager! sometimes I swear he thinks that he is older than he is! Marissa, well she is 2.5 years old, going on 15! she has the biggest attitude if things don't go her way! and she is quick to get the boys back if they try to beat up on her. she uses the palm of her hand to him them back because she realizes that that hurts them more than if she were to use her hand. over all we are doing well.......I am currently sick, but have a doctor's appointment tomorrow at 2pm! I am hoping that I am well on the road to recovery by this time Saturday because that is Logan's birthday party! |

wow! it has been over a month since I was last in here!
after I posted that last message, I went to the doctor and found out that I had the flu. The kids then went to the doctor the day after me, and Logan had the flu, and Marissa and Brandon had a touch of the flu. we postponed Logan's birthday party from the 7th, to the 14th. right before the party, Tommy got sick, but he only had a sinus infection and not the flu! we had his party and it was a lot of fun! every body enjoyed themselves, and if you are friends with me on Facebook, then I am sure that you have seen the pictures. (if not, go check them out and comment!) there are plenty of other pictures on there by now.....and will be some more in the coming days! Brandon is growing like a weed! we know call him bean pole because he has lost his belly that he had and is a stick man! Logan is growing like a weed as well......there are only maybe 6 inches in height difference between him and Brandon.....and I am going to guess that there is only about 6 inches in height difference between him and Marissa! they are so close in height that we are trying to figure out who is going to be taller than who! Marissa is our little princess, that is going through her teen years already! right now, as I type this, she is sitting at the table with me because she wasn't ready for bed when she was put in there! I pulled her out of our room when Tommy went to bed......and we will be going to bed here shortly! as for Tommy, he just started a new job, that is actually directly across the street from the place that he was working at when Marissa was born! he likes it a lot....he started this past Monday and was invited to the Christmas party on Tuesday! he will be on a probationary period for three months, so he can't miss any days during that time....and then he will be hired in. which is nice, because we are aiming to be buying a house next summer! oh yeah......we had the boys' parent teacher conferences in November. Logan is progressing more than Brandon is, and it is really affecting Brandon. They are in the same class, so the teacher tries to correct any kind of bad behavior that Logan tries to pull in school. As of right now, they are on Christmas vacation....when they get back in school, Brandon will be tested for a Speech Language Impairment class. If he gets accepted into the class, then he will go into it from kindergarten to third grade (I believe) and he will get the same curriculum as the other kids, but he will also get the speech and that that he is getting now. we are all antsy to move, and we have been talking with different Realtors, but one mainly lately, about our options in the city that we are aiming at. we based our options on the school district that will be best, so that narrowed things down a lot for us, and it is actually making the house hunting process a lot easier for us! I keep in contact with the realtor and she sends me emails with houses in them.....I actually have nine that I have to sit down and go through with my three ring binder to take notes on the ones that we really like. I think that is basically every thing in a nutshell.....I have to cut this short because Marissa is climbing up the couch and then proceeding to jump off the couch.....which is not good when she thumps and shakes the entire apartment! |

Wow, that's a whole lot of news!
I'm so glad you guys recovered from the flu easily. We all had it and it really wasn't that bad either. I'm hoping that speech therapy goes well for Brandon. If I may be so nosy, have you had his hearing checked? I hope you guys find the perfect house! Merry Christmas!
