Default Graco My Ride 65?

We've got to get another convertible car seat, and I'm really not wanting to cough up the $$ for another britax.

I've been looking at the my ride 65, and I'm thinking about putting G in it RF (goes up to 40lbs) and T in the decathlon.

Does anybody on here have one? If so, what do you think of it? The reviews I've seen are great, but I'd love to hear it from somebody I "know".

ETA: If I can't find something else I'm comfortable with, I'll end up getting another britax. I'm all for saving some $$ though!

Ok well I haven't tried the one you're specifically asking about, but I decided I'd tell you about the one we have and LOVE. It is inexpensive, but my son loves it SO much more than the more expensive one we had before it. It fastens easily and securely. It's easy to wash the cover(a big plus while potty training! and other accidents) and DS never complains about riding in it, which was an issue with a couple others we had. I love the brand because we were in a car accident with DD(she was about 2.5-3) when she was in a similar car seat, same brand, and she was completely fine while we adults had whiplash. Here's a link in case you're taking suggestions Walmart.com: Cosco - Scenera 5-Point Convertible Car Seat, Checkmate: Car Seats if you not, just ignore this post

I have never heard of it, but I'm giggling at the name. It's like Graco is a verb, replacing "pimp" in "pimp my ride."

The MR65 is a GREAT seat! I don't have one and have never used one but car seat tech's all over the place are LOVING it! And kids love the 2 built in cup holders!

Other car seats that I've heard great things about that are not Britax are:

First Years True Fit and True Fit Premier - both very tall and should get MOST kids to booster seat age. The Premier has an anti-rebound bar that takes the place of rear-facing tethering that Britax does. This is on my list of car seats to own someday! lol!

Sunshine Kids Radian 65, Radian 80 and Radian XT
I have Radian 65's for both of the kids, use one rear facing and one forward facing, and LOVE them. They get exceptional head excursion numbers, even without a top tether so I feel better about using them in the vehicles that I don't have top tether anchors in. The newest (Sept. '09) Radian XT's have just been certified Rear Facing to 45 lbs!

The cosco scenera is a fabulous seat in it's class - I bought one a few years ago when we accidentally left Kyrie's car seat in G'ma's vehicle and then she drove home (80 miles), and we use it for a backup / daycare seat now. Since it doesn't have any extra side impact protection or energy absorbing foam, I don't like using it for a main seat because of all the highway traveling we do, but it's not by any means a bad seat!
